Maison Em L.L.C-FZ (“Maison Em”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is an independent fragrance discovery platform and curator of fragrance samples, decants and related products. This Disclaimer supplements our Terms of Service and forms part of your agreement with us.

Who You Are Dealing With

Maison Em L.L.C-FZ is the seller and the party responsible to you.

Some functions behind the Services — in particular fragrance sourcing, authentication, decanting and preparation, and the classification and recommendation technology — may be performed by Maison Em itself, or by a separate company under common ownership with Maison Em, or by a supplier or successor. This organisation may change over time.

Wherever this Disclaimer says Maison Em does something, that includes it being done on Maison Em’s behalf — and Maison Em’s responsibility to you is unaffected. Full detail is in Section 1 of our Terms of Service.

Independent Status & Non-Affiliation

Maison Em operates as an independent business.

We are not affiliated with, associated with, authorised by, endorsed by or sponsored by any fragrance house, manufacturer, fashion brand or trademark owner whose products may be referenced or included in our offerings, unless we expressly state otherwise in writing.

All brand names, fragrance names, trademarks, product names and logos remain the exclusive property of their respective owners and are used strictly for identification and descriptive purposes. Use of such names does not imply any affiliation, partnership, endorsement or authorisation.

Authenticity of Products

All fragrances offered by Maison Em are genuine.

Our inventory is sourced from authentic retail bottles obtained through retailers, distributors, verified suppliers, industry partners and established private collectors.

Maison Em does not sell replicas, imitations, “inspired-by” versions or counterfeit products.

Our sourcing standards, verification process and what happens if an authenticity concern arises are set out in our Authenticity & Sourcing Policy.

Independent Decanting & Repackaging

Maison Em provides fragrance discovery through independently rebottled fragrance samples.

All Maison Em samples are decanted from genuine retail bottles and transferred and repackaged into Maison Em’s own formats.

The original manufacturers did not produce, package or distribute the samples sold by Maison Em.

Variations may occur in atomiser performance, bottle mechanics, packaging format and presentation.

Once a product has been decanted and rebottled, the original manufacturer bears no responsibility for its condition, performance or packaging. Maison Em does. Our responsibility for the safety, labelling and traceability of the product as supplied to you is set out in our Product Safety & Ingredient Information page.

Product Integrity

Fragrances are transferred without dilution, modification, alteration or reformulation. The composition of the liquid is unchanged from the source bottle.

Because a decant is a different container with a different atomiser and different air exposure, the sensory experience may differ from the same fragrance sprayed from a sealed original bottle. We do not represent that the two are identical.

Regulatory Positioning & Traceability

Maison Em operates independently and seeks to comply with the legal and regulatory requirements applicable to the products and services it supplies in the United Arab Emirates. Nothing on this website is intended to represent that Maison Em is affiliated with, authorised by or acting on behalf of an original fragrance manufacturer.

“Maison Em maintains sourcing, inventory and order records appropriate to its operations and the information reasonably available to it, to support product identification, authenticity review and traceability where necessary.”

Intended Use

Products are supplied for personal use only.

Commercial resale, redistribution, further decanting, refilling or repackaging of Maison Em products is prohibited without our prior written authorisation.

Maison Em is not responsible for misuse, unauthorised resale, or modification of a product after it has been delivered to you.

Subjective Nature of Fragrance

Fragrance perception is inherently subjective. Performance may be influenced by skin chemistry, climate, environment, application method and quantity, and storage conditions.

All scent descriptions, note breakdowns, performance insights, Aura classifications and editorial content reflect Maison Em’s independent interpretation and are provided for informational and experiential purposes only.

We make no guarantees regarding longevity, projection, sillage or individual scent experience.

Fragrance Interpretation & Classification

All fragrance-related content — note structures, accord breakdowns, Aura classifications, scent families, and occasion, mood and personality mapping — is developed as part of the Maison Em fragrance discovery framework.

These classifications are independent, interpretative, and not affiliated with or endorsed by the original fragrance houses.

Fragrance note pyramids may be compiled from brand references, industry databases and our own analysis. Variations may occur across sources and individual perception.

Aura classifications and recommendations are editorial and experiential. They are not medical, psychological, therapeutic, diagnostic, dermatological or scientific assessments.

Product Safety

Fragrance products contain concentrated aromatic compounds and alcohol. They are flammable and may cause irritation or allergic reaction.

Patch-test before first use. Avoid contact with eyes and sensitive or broken skin. Do not ingest. Keep away from flames, heat and children. Discontinue use and seek medical advice if irritation occurs.

Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for a defective or unsafe product, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under UAE law.

Storage & Handling After Delivery

Fragrances are sensitive to heat, sunlight, air and humidity. Store upright, below 25°C, away from direct sunlight and heat.

You are responsible for proper storage after delivery. Maison Em is not liable for degradation resulting from improper handling or storage after the product has been delivered to you.

Child Safety

Products are not intended for use by, or in the presence of, unsupervised children. Store safely and out of reach of children.

Intellectual Property

All content within the Maison Em ecosystem — brand identity, visual assets, product photography, editorial content, fragrance classification systems, Aura frameworks and discovery methodologies — is owned by or licensed to Maison Em unless otherwise stated. Some of this intellectual property may be owned by a company under common ownership with Maison Em and licensed to it.

Unauthorised use, reproduction, scraping, data-mining or commercial exploitation is prohibited.

All third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

Platform & Content

Maison Em may provide discovery tools, fragrance quizzes, editorial insights and educational content. All such content is provided for informational and experiential purposes only and does not constitute professional, medical or dermatological advice.

Order & Risk Management

Maison Em reserves the right to refuse, limit or cancel orders at its discretion for reasons including compliance, risk management, suspected unauthorised commercial resale, or operational requirements. Where an order is cancelled after payment, we refund it.

Acceptance

By purchasing from Maison Em, you acknowledge that you are receiving an independently rebottled fragrance product from an independent business, and not a product packaged, distributed or warranted by the original manufacturer.

Use of our website and services constitutes acceptance of this Disclaimer.
