Most people don’t have a fragrance problem. They have a navigation problem.

There are tens of thousands of fragrances on the market, and almost no way to tell which of them belong to you. The counter gives you three sprays and a decision. The internet gives you a thousand opinions from people whose skin isn’t yours. So most people buy one bottle, wear it for years, and never find out what else was possible.

Maison Em exists to change how that discovery happens.

What we do

We make fine fragrance explorable.

We take genuine fragrances from original retail bottles and prepare them in wearable discovery formats — small enough to live with a scent properly, over several days, in real life, on your own skin. Not a paper strip. Not one spray in a shop.

And we use an identity-led framework — the Aura framework — to narrow an unshoppable catalogue down to a shortlist that actually sounds like you. You tell us who you are. We suggest what you might wear.

The more you tell us — what you loved, what you didn’t, what you wore twice and never again — the sharper it gets.

The Aura framework

The Aura framework is our own way of describing both people and fragrances in the same language: seven expressive characters, a set of energies, and the contexts you actually live in — the meeting, the dinner, the long summer afternoon, the cold night.

It’s a discovery tool, and an editorial one. It’s how we organise a catalogue and how we explain a recommendation in words that mean something. It is not a personality test, a diagnosis, or a scientific instrument, and we’d never present it as one. It’s a better way of finding your next fragrance than scrolling.

What we are — and what we are not

We are independent. Maison Em is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or authorised by any fragrance house, brand or manufacturer. We’re not an authorised distributor and we don’t claim to be. Every brand name and trademark on this site belongs to its owner, and we use those names only to tell you what’s in the bottle.

We decant. We say so. Every Maison Em fragrance format contains genuine fragrance transferred from an original retail product into our own presentation, either by Maison Em or by a preparation partner acting on our behalf.

We never sell clones. No replicas, no imitations, no “inspired-by.” If it isn’t genuine, we don’t sell it. Our sourcing and verification standards are set out in our Authenticity & Sourcing Policy, including exactly what we do if a problem is ever found.

We’re honest about what a decant is. A fragrance in a different container with a different atomiser will not always behave identically to the same fragrance from a sealed bottle. We’d rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.

How the business is organised

Maison Em L.L.C-FZ is the company you buy from and the company responsible to you.

Some of the work behind it — sourcing and authenticating bottles, preparing the formats you receive, and the technology behind fragrance discovery — may be carried out by Maison Em itself, or by a separate company under common ownership, or by a supplier working to our standards. As the business grows, how that’s arranged may change.

What doesn’t change is who stands behind your order. Whoever does the work, Maison Em is who you bought from, and Maison Em is who you deal with on a question, a return, or a safety concern. The standards on our policy pages apply either way.

Where we deliver

Maison Em currently delivers within the United Arab Emirates only. If that changes, we’ll say so on our Shipping Policy page.

Where we’re going

We started with fragrance because the GCC is the most fragrance-literate market in the world, and because scent is the category where identity matters most and guidance is worst.

The ambition is simple: a growing wardrobe rather than a single signature. Something for the meeting and something for the night. A relationship with discovery that doesn’t end at the first purchase.
